Spirent Integrates CyberFlood Data Breach Assessment with Fortinet Security Fabric

Joint solution provides improved security effectiveness within enterprise production networks

Bangalore – December 04, 2019 – Spirent Communications, the trusted provider of test, measurement, assurance and analytics solutions for next-generation devices and networks, today announced that it has integrated its CyberFlood Data Breach Assessment solution with the Fortinet Security Fabric. The integration was achieved through Spirent’s participation in the Fortinet Fabric-Ready Interoperability Program and provides Fortinet customers with automated security policy recommendations, enabling them to respond proactively to security vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and other weaknesses discovered during the on-going assessments powered by Spirent CyberFlood.

“With constantly evolving security threats and ever-changing networks and infrastructure, time-to-action is a critical capability for keeping networks secure and optimized,” said Jurrie van den Breekel, vice president of business development and product management at Spirent. “Integration with the Fortinet Security Fabric provides customers with a wealth of knowledge and visibility, connecting CyberFlood’s continuous assessments to an organization’s security infrastructure – a connection that produces important policy and heuristic change recommendations in real time. We are pleased to become a Fortinet Fabric-Ready Technology partner and make security more proactive, closing gaps that can be exploited by attackers.”

The Spirent-Fortinet technology alliance enables threats emulated by CyberFlood to be correlated with events identified by Fortinet, highlighting security holes. CyberFlood can then recommend changes that fortify network defenses against threats of all kinds and address faulty or incomplete configurations. These recommendations are provided automatically, reducing response times while maximizing security team productivity.

CyberFlood is a powerful, automated solution that generates realistic application traffic and security threats within live networks, providing organizations with continual assessment of their enterprise network infrastructure security.  Unlike assessment solutions that simulate attacks, CyberFlood uses actual attack components, true hacker activity, and malware executables accessed through continually updated threat intelligence services to validate an organization’s vulnerability to cybercrime.

The integration is available in the most recent release of CyberFlood and is already supported with the Fortinet Security Fabric. Spirent continues to integrate with other vendor products and services to extend automated security policy and heuristics recommendations across a wide variety of solutions.

TE Connectivity Announced Ultra Small Spring Fingers

TE Connectivity (TE)’snew ultra small spring fingers have one of the smallest footprints in the market to save valuable PCB space, allowing for use in a broad range of applications with space constraints across various industries.TE’s ultra small spring fingerscan save valuable PCB space with one of the smallest footprints in the market. Closed-loop contact design ensures reliable connection to the PCB, better normal force and higher current capacity (1.5A). Robust side wall minimizes over- compression. Special anti-lifting design can improve assembly e ciency by locking the tip of the contact within the sidewall of the spring  nger, which helps prevent the contact from getting caught on an operator’s glove during assembly. Pick-and-place area supports auto-assembly processes. It also offered in different heights and styles. As an authorized distributor for TE Connectivity, Heilind Asia provides TE’s products and also value added services.
